Marrakesh
We will leave Marrakesh at 07:00 am and head to Tizi N’tichka. At 2,206 meters above sea level, it is the highest mountain pass in North Africa. Along the way, we will experience the colors of the High Atlas Mountains and pass through picturesque Berber villages. Our descent will take us to the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will have lunch at a local restaurant and join our guide for a site visit. From there, we will continue to Agdz and the beautiful Draa Valley. We will take a break in Zagora before arriving at the village of M’Hamid, where our camels will be waiting for us. An hour of camel trekking will take us to our camp in time for sunset. Dinner will be served around the fire while you enjoy the peace and quiet of this very special place. Overnight in the desert camp in the Erg Lihoudi dunes.
The sun rising over the dunes is a unique experience for the more adventurous, with breakfast served soon after. We will reassemble the camels for the return trip to M’Hamid. Our return route will take us back to Zagora and Agdz, with a lunch break and a guided tour of the film studios (optional) in Ourzazate. We will arrive in Marrakesh at the end of the afternoon.
